Diversifying and Personalizing Your Modular Set Design

The modular approach to set design has opened up a new world of possibilities for broadcast entities ranging from local networks and cable and public television stations to schools, government and military installations, corporations, and more. As a pioneer of modular set design and construction, Uni-set Corporation offers our current users not only a variety of total system packages and news settings for every size studio, but also a number of great modular products with which to enhance each modular staging system. By incorporating such enhancements into an individual set design, the ultimate goal of establishing “program identity” is served.

Users Uniset’s full-size modular products including geometric shapes that stack for walls, risers, and steps, triangular risers for multi-level sets, talent tables, pre-finished walls that match talent tables, modular cyclorama modules for green/blue walls, corners, ground row, and floors, and more. While these products form the core of any set, they are just the beginning in terms of personalizing each set and establishing an identity.

One product that does just that is Chroma Key. And while you may not be familiar with the name, chances are you’ve seen it in action time and time again. Chroma key is a technique whereby there are two images or frames, and one is removed or made transparent, revealing another image behind it. This technique is commonly used in TV news for weather forecasts where the weatherman appears to be standing in front of a map. In fact it’s a blue screen and not a map at all.

Lighting plays a key role in the look and feel of any set, and lighting professionals know that any tone and/or mood can be established in mere moments through the use of soft color lighting gels. Stick on and peel off vinyl lettering and graphics also provide an easy and fun way to enhance a set while establishing name or brand recognition for a program or product. Simple touches such as these can go a long way in bringing a singular quality to your set.

Limited budgets, studio space, and staff no longer have to be an impediment to producing quality programming. Discover the endless variety of modular set designs available to you. In the process learn how set designing via modular pieces can create video content that draws in viewers by virtue of its unique identity.

It is said that you should learn from your mistakes and this applies in business as much as it does in life.  However, making mistakes in business can be costly so it is often preferrable to let others make them first and then avoid them yourself!  When it comes to logo design there are often many mistakes businesses make when choosing a logo to brand their business.

Here are five of the most common mistakes that you should avoid when desigining the perfect logo:

No Logo At All: it may surprise you but there are businesses out there that forget to use a logo on any of their products and promotional media.  This is a mistake because having a helps to create brand awareness within your marketplace, whilst helping to provide an instantly recognizable representation of your business – customers are more likely to remember your logo before anything else.
A Complicated Or Overly Stylized Logo: the best logos are the simplest.  Think about big brands that you are presented with everyday and you will realize that everyone has a simply and easily recognizable logo .  Trying to cram too much into a logo not only makes it difficult to understand it also makes it nigh on impossible to reproduce across all forms of media such as stationery to billboard advertisments.
Bad Design: there are several elements of a logo that need to be carefully considered and designed.  This includes the use of shapes, positive and negative space within a design, fonts and colors.  The layout of a logo is also critical as a good design needs to be balanced if it is to be legible and eye-catching.
Copycat Design: your finished logo design needs to be original and unique to you.  It is all too easy to take a winning design from another company and alter it slightly for your business.  But if a design is too similar to that of another company customers are likely to avoid you fearing your products or services are substandard or counterfeit.  Another aspect of originality is creating a design that is interesting.  A boring design will turn off customers that is if it catches their eye in the first place!
Alternate Meanings: becareful about how your finished logo could be interpreted.  There exisits many logo’s with alternate meanings, albeit subliminal.  A good example of this is using humanoid graphics in your logo in various poses!  You also need to ensure your choice of font ensures any text is clear to read.  Complicated, swirly fonts can often be misinterpreted aswell as being illegible.  Always cast a critical eye over a finished design and look for any obvious or hidden interpretations that could see your logo being misconstrued.

Any given day of the city life is a rush.  In the New York City, you are either rushing to get a cab, or rushing back to the office after lunch.  Even when you get a chance to sit and relax in the Central Park, you still see people rushing through.

Homepage design is just like living in the city.  If you are not precise and direct with what you need to do, what you need to say, you will fall behind the marching crowd.

Building an effective homepage design with high return on investment is one of the very neat specialties of any NY marketing and website desigining companies.

– The importance on branding not only lies on big corporations who can afford hundreds of thousands of dollars in market research and focus groups.  An effective landing page starts with proper web design skills.  You know your business and industry best.  Communicate with your web designer, they should convert that knowledge into colors, graphics and content layout that looks most appealing to your target market.  A successful landing homepage grabs attention from visitors within the first 2 seconds.  Web design in New York is often times translated as emotional connection with your potential markets.

Buzzwords are important elements on making a homepage successful and profitable.  Potential market is looking for your service because they are encountering some sort of problems that your services might provide them a solution.  Your taglines should display your potential market’s problem and explain with your products as a quick solution for their problem.  If you are a family business and have something proud to say, leave it in the About Us section to elaborate.  Homepage is about your customers, not you.

Because you are simply the best in the industry.  Why are you the best?  Because your customers love you and your work.  Use an interactive module and list at least 10 testimonials.  Spread the confidence and you will get the next job.

On the homepage, not only you look professional with the perfect web design layout, you can solve a problem, you are the best in the industry.  The final and most important element – call for action.  Since you are a great business, throw in some special offers to give it the final push: 10% Off when sign up on the website, etc.  Include a sign up form on the homepage design and a noticeable phone number.

Once you have a killer homepage, watch leads flowing in from the internet.  However, don’t forget to develop the rest of the site with more detailed and useful content.

To convey message and represent a concept through illustration design like drawing, making photograph of cartoon, mascot, or character are widely accepted by the corporate, publishers and advertisers these days.

There are creative artists and designers who can shape a concept by drawing, painting, or by making photographs. Visualizing something and giving a shape in an artistic way is called illustration design. A story, poem, or information can be portrayed or illustrated by which the subject and the object both touch into the human mind better than in any other form. There are expert cartoon artists who can provide custom cartoons, and cartoon logos designing services. Availing artistic illustration is no more a difficult task as creative artists are there to help us. Whether it is for Australian Illustrators

The multiple roles of Illustration:

Fashion designers make illustration of their conceived design.

For academic books, kids’ books and for narrating stories, illustrating characters are a good idea that helps conveying the relevant messages

Illustrations are suitable while giving example in which the visuals/graphic art/ drawings of character/cartoon touches the human mind better than a mere textual example

If illustrative characters/cartoons represent the ideas of human expression while establishing brand image or promoting products, will be more appealing and attractive

Illustration designing can be used to motivate and create awareness among the common mass.

Illustration design represents thousands of linguistic words.

Getting attached with the message as well as the emotion can be easily made possible by illustration designing.

Whether it is for print or web medium, illustration attracts visitors and makes them hang on and read on. In case of illustration designing for online purpose, the quality and relevancy makes online visitors encouraged to stay and spend more time with the website. Digital illustration design has successfully met the overwhelming requirement of illustration designing projects.

For making websites more attractive and appealing, you could follow the tips given below:

Keep concentrating on color to design beautiful illustration for websites. Whether it is a graphic illustration design or artistic illustration you need to follow the standard colours of web palette. The colours will give same look in all types of computers and web browsers. Usually for solid colours illustration you should follow 216 colours of the web palette and while using colour blends you should stick to set 256 colours on your screen. Make sure your colour looks attractive. You can opt for another resolution if the existing colour looks unattractive and difficult to distinguish.

In a website the colour combination of illustration in different pages should be suitably matched. Not only ensuring good combination of colours but also matching graphics, masthead, sidebar, buttons, icons, image maps, should be considered carefully while placing and making illustration designing of a website.

The look of an illustration in printed form will be different from web form. If you use digital illustration designing for websites or illustration that displays on the computer screen then you need to be careful while drawing lines. Thick lines help displaying illustration clearly on the computer screen. As the resolution of a computer monitor is much lower than the ink to a printed page, thick lines in the illustration get more visible and clear on the screen of a computer.

Besides getting knowledge of drawing lines and colors there are many things to know in an illustration design. Please contact us to know more about Illustration Design.
